Female and male pre conception supplements

Hi Everyone!I'm looking for recommendations on pre conception supplements for me and my husband.

My husband has a low sperm count so any recommendations to help that and I'm wondering are there any supplements for women that don't contain folic acid so I can take folate separately?

Thanks :)

I was in a similar situation to you and read It Starts with the Egg by Rebecca Fett, which was so incredibly useful as has loads of info on supplements. Outside of supplements main things he changed were to cut down on drinking and caffeine and we completely changed our diet (The IVF Diet by Zita West is really really helpful!) My husband went from zero sperm to having enough to fertilise my 16 eggs, so definitely makes a difference!

I haven't heard about the IVF diet by Zita West. I will look into that thank you.

We have been seeing a kinesiologist for about a year who tested us and told us what we needed to take. DH was put on high zinc x

The prenatal fertility support supplement from Wild Nutrition contains folate, not folic acid, if it’s something you want to avoid.

Thank you! I will have a look at this.

I don't know about one that doesnt contain folic acid / folate at all. This one contains folate and not Folic Acid. I then take extra folate as a separate supplement as well but you could just take this one if you were happy with the amount of folate in it: cytoplan.co.uk/pregna-plan?...

Hi! Our clinic recommended Proxeed. They do a supplement for men and for women. In addition to it, we took extra Coenzyme Q10 in the form of Ubiquinol, Vtiamin D spray, as well as oral probiotics (Biogaia) and vaginal ones for me. Very best of luck with your round!

I can also highly recommend Proxseed plus - it really made an amazing difference for us. I also take nua fertility as a prenatal as it includes probiotics and separate vitamin d, extra coq10, vit c and omega 3. And Accupuncture. Good luck🌺
