Migrating embryo & ovulation induction question

Does anyone have any experience of a migrating embryo to cause ectopic? Or too many ovulation induction attempts?I've been told the risk of ectopic is high as I have a damaged and blocked fallopian tube and they attract the embryo. I've been told to get them clipped but just can't face putting another 9 months to a year on our journey to start IVF as that will put me over 40 and I've been told I can only have 1 or 2 cycles due to too many ovulation induction cycles previously. I don't know whether to just go ahead and hope or have more surgery and wait. We were not expecting this news and were just expecting to get our plan for IVF drawn up! Devastated.

I had an ectopic pregnancy after a fresh transfer. Apparently, day2 embryos are more likely to cause ectopics as they remain free to move for a few days, they would still start to attach on day 6 / 7. So, if you have this problem, my advice is to always transfer blasto, never younger embryos.

I have to say, at the time my right ovary was swollen due to a cyst (that went unnoticed by the doctors), and I am convinced that somehow this could have sucked the embryo in my right tube. But I don't think doctors would agree on this feeling I have.

Also, you could first have one or two rounds of embryo banking (so you freeze every embryo), then you have the surgery, and when you recover you start transferring them. Your age won't affect implantation (not massively), whilst it would affect embryo quality.

To give you some hope, I had my lucky frozen embryo transferred about a month before my 40th birthday, indeed I managed to see her hearth flickering the day before my birthday... the happiest birthday of my life! 🩷

Good luck with your journey! 🍀

Hi. Damaged tubes can leak toxic fluid into the womb wu h can prevent a developing embryo from implanting, so are best clipped or removed. If you can get this sorted, it should give you a much better chance. Any embryos you have are quite safe, and please don’t worry about your age, you are fine. Thinking of you. Diane.
