I just wondered if anyone had any insights on if taking impryl for 5 weeks would have any positive impact? My next egg collection is scheduled for 17th July and my partner has lower sperm quality, mainly morphology that is low which is 3% (I know it’s not TERRIBLE) but would taking impryl for such a short time see any positive difference or would it be best to leave it? He has massively cut down alcohol consumption and is now on none for the next few weeks and doesn’t smoke and we are relatively healthy anyway. Will up all the extra good foods as well as we have been doing for the past month or so.
Thanks for advance for any info! And any advice welcome to the contrary! When he took proxeed plus that actually made his sample worse so obviously I don’t want to happen 😅 oh the stresses.
xx

My partner took impryl and his levels improved. Of course hard to know what was the reason but he had very low morphology less that 1%, and poor motility too.
He’s been taking impryl, CQ10, vitamin C, cut out alcohol, reduced caffeine to one coffee a day, started going for runs, no hot baths, no cycling.
Sperm life cycle is only 3 months so men can see benefits fairly quickly. (Wouldn’t it be nice if that were the case for our eggs!)
My husband took impryl and his morphology was still 2% but his count and motility were so high it kinda bypassed the poor morphology and we still got 2 good quality embryos and I am now 8 weeks pregnant with one of them. I definitely think it helps
hi lovely i'm so sorry to read this, you're super strong and hopefully getting closer to the positive you deserve xx, my husband has taken impryl for 3 months, I cannot tell you whether it has made a difference yet as he didn't get sperm re tested, we are going through fresh cycle right now, so I can share whether it helped improved the results later. He has also cut down on alcohol, red meat, and it's running more. He did have DNA fragmentation test and that came back ok, but this was after a year from the last fresh cycle where out of 9 fertilised eggs we only got 3 good quality blastocyst, all the others survived until day 6 but were not deemed good enough quality for freezing. Many other ladies said to test for DNA fragmentation was important, the other thing he got scanned for was varicocele , other ladies in here recommended going to private urologist (Dr. Ramsay) but we went through the NHS, they have found small varicocele but they didn't recommend anything, so we might go again private if we don't get lucky on this round.
The doctors said on the week before sample collection he needs to do daily ejaculation, they also advised to eat more antioxidants like blueberries, and lycopene which is found in tomatoes and peppers. Also no hot baths or cycling. Another lady recommended icing (snowballs pants on amazon) or finishing the shower cold.
I think is worth trying everything x , wishing you all the best of luck!
Hi Booda21,Have you tried Zymot? Does your clinic do it and have they ever offered it as an add on to your cycle?
I had 3 cycles of ICSI, we had low quality sperm simlilar to you and we had 2 failed transfer, 1 MMC the my clinic offered Zymot and it was the best result we ever had and now 11weeks pregnant...
If ypur clinic does it and its not too late I would highly recommend it!!
