This is my second round of IVF, and they have changed me to a long protocol to try and get more eggs, I have been stimming for 6 days, and had bloods yesterday, which I have been told my hormones levels are not looking goods, and they have added 150 menopur to my cycle along with the Gonal F 300 which I have been stimming with. My scan is on Friday to see if this has worked, I was just wondering if this has happened to anyone else before, as really worried this will be a cancelled cycle. My down reg was decapeptyl which is long acting so only one injection at the beginning.
Many thanks

My second cycle was long protocol too. my down reg was prostap then 21 day later 450iu meriofert for 6 days. At my scan my follicles hadn't grown enough so they kept me on 450iu meriofert for another 4 days then had another scan. Ended up with 15 eggs collected but i remember worrying the same as you that it would end up being cancelled.
Thank you for getting back to me, thats helped ease my mind a little. Its just so worrying when they say that your not responding as you should be, fingers cross all will be ok Friday when I have my scan.
Sounds like we are in similar positions. I am also on day 6 of stims today, also my second cycle and am trying long protocol this time after my first cycle in March I only got 3 eggs on short protocol, so they thought long protocol might help get me some more.
Did they scan you aswell as take your bloods to see what is growing? Which hormones are they concerned about?
I had my first monitoring scan today (but no bloods) and my follicles aren't growing very well - I just posted about it on here in fact. I've not been told to add any extra stims - I'm on 300 Menopur which I think is pretty high already. But they told me to reduce the down reg injections I'm taking as that may be blocking the follicle growth. I am back on Friday so I might ask about adding extra stims then.
Sorry not to be more helpful, but seems we're in quite similar boats!
That is the same as me, my first round was short, and they only retrieved 4 eggs, so they put me on long protocol to get more eggs.
I am not due my scan until Friday, we have bloods day 6 and then scan on day 9, then another on day 12 the day you should trigger, at my clinic, wish they did scan as well. They didn't tell me which hormones, aren't responding I wish I had asked, as now everything is going through my mind.
It might be worth and ask as after reading different stims have different strong points, which helps the follicles grow. Its horrible that we are both in this situation but nice that I am not on my own with this, thanks for message, hopefully both our scans go well Friday.
