Only two fertilised

Hi everyone, hope you're all well. I'm feeling devastated, out of 26 mature eggs, only 2 fertilised. Can I please have some good news stories of at least one turning to blastocyst on day 5 xx

Hi hun. I was exactly the same. I had 26 eggs. I had one embryo frozen on day 3, so I won’t know until they thaw whether it makes it to day 5, and one made it to day 5 which was 4AA. So there is hope. I’m hoping to have FET In March as I couldn’t have a fresh transfer due to high risk of OHSS. Good Luck lovely.

I had 6 eggs retrieved, 3 mature, 2 fertilised. 1 blastocyst and the other stopped growing on day 5. 2 is better than none. Good luck!

24 follicles, 16 collected, 9 mature, 3 fertilised. One chemical and two healthy boys. That age old saying…it only takes one ❤️🤞🏼

Please guide me I am also going for second round. What supplements your husband took. So his number double?

Hi Nabsal, hope your second round goes well for you! 🤞🤞 husband lost a stone, started the gym 5x a week, finishing his showers cold, ate Brazil, walnuts, almonds and hazelnuts and blueberries every day, upped his protein and fish intake and reduced sugar and caffeine. Did acupuncture, took proceive for men, lipoic acid, fish oil and 200mg ubiquninol. First round we’d zero fertilisation, second round all three mature eggs fertilised and two stayed so it must have made a difference…or it could have been luck, the extra things I did or a different clinic/drugs protocol, who knows. It’s definitely change due to multivitamins I also got much much better results then my first ivf icsi cycle when I was not eating any such things .

did clinic gives you reason why only two fertilise . As you had really good number of eggs. Have they did only simple ivf or icsi.

No but I know it's because of the quality of my husband's sperm. He's very low on everything. They did ICSI. What happened with your first cycle?

they didn’t give me proper reason but it also due to sperm quality his morphology was very low 1%
