Sadly just had a fet that didn’t workout. Doing ok-ish but anxious about what’s next.
I’m on nhs (at uclh) - it was our first transfer and it was a double transfer (advised by embryologist). We don’t have any embryos now, so will need to go for another cycle.
Does anyone know what happens now?
We are very fortunately funded for 3 cycles, but the pace has been really slow - it was 7 months between collection and transfer.
Not knowing what’s happening next is one of the things i find hardest about this whole thing!
thanks 🐾

Sorry it didn't work this time but it can take a few tries, even when everything's seemingly perfect. Normally in terms of immediate next steps with a negative you tell your clinic and they may say keep taking the meds for a little while longer and test again to be sure, or they may say stop the meds and expect a 'withdrawal bleed' a couple to a few days later. Then they do a follow-up with you to discuss what happened, what they could maybe change and options. I assume they would cover off the egg collection protocol you were on at that appointment and what they may do differently for your next round. With private clinics you can normally start again straight away and start on meds from day 1 of your next period but with the NHS they often want at least 2 periods in between and that's before scheduling issues which can push the whole thing back months. They may also suggest or discuss additional testing and investigations. You may want to have a list of things to ask about as not sure how many opportunities there are on the NHS to discuss, with my NHS clinic it was one appointment and even getting that was after very long delays so good to make use of the time and get them to answer as many of your questions as possible.
Sorry to read your post- take time to recover and look after yourself and your OH . First cycles are very much like a learning curve - now they have an idea how your body reacts with the medication they should be able to " tweak " your treatment protocol [make changes etc ] for a better response
