Suprcur out of stock - decapeptyl instead - not feeling good with the plan for trigger tonight

I am supposed to trigger with Suprcur and Gonasi tonight for egg collection Friday

However - Clinic say suprcur is out of stock everywhere. I am having Decapeptyl instead. I don’t feel great with this and the Dr doesn’t seem to like it too.

Don’t really know what to do!

sorry to hear about this, it’s so frustrating when the stock levels of medication changes daily.

I don’t think they would be recommending to use this if they weren’t happy with it - sometimes doctors may not be as happy with it as they are ‘used’ to certain combinations of drugs cause from their experience they work well. However that doesn’t mean using different drugs is going to mean it isn’t going to work!

Could you phone the clinic to get some more reassurance and say you were worried about the doctors response? It might make you feel better about it all x

Hi. All you can do is to trust your specialist, and go with what he/she suggests. I see you have asked for someone with leftovers to donate, but it is illegals to use a drug that has previously been prescribed for someone else, I hope it works out ok for you. Diane

Hi Cuppppatea, I used decapeptyl in my last cycle as buserlin was out of stock. It worked absolutely fine and is used in other countries around the world for IVF. I ended up with a good number of eggs too if that helps reassure you. Good luck x
