Hi all, just wondered if anyone had success or advice with using acupuncture, for pre/post FET? And if recommended a particular place /clinic? We're based in London. Many thanks in advance

Acupuncture recommendations for FET (IVF)

hi there, I’m in south London and seeing someone in Crystal Palace who specialises in fertility- and my boyfriend is getting herbs from another in Wimbledon. Honestly, I don’t know that it’s a cure or helps, I’ve just found out I have a womb that’s v reticent to allow an embryo to settle so arguably it might never help? But, she’s an invaluable resource of information, has helped me reduce inflammation which is super useful, and I feel a lot better (I’ve a highly stressed job & problems sleeping), so for me it’s a lovely thing to have instead of a need to, but I’ve heard great successes too.
If you’re near CP I can send you her site on pm. All the best
Hiya, I highly recommend The London Acupuncture clinic who have different branches around London. I have used them with both my successful transfers and currently using them atm for our third xx
I go to 'affordable community acupuncture'. There are a few beds in the room and a few people at the same time which allows for lower price. Mine is in east london, there might be one closer to you? Let me know if you want the details anyway.
I had acupuncture two days before and a few hours after the successful FET. The acupuncturist was based in Brno (CZ) and needled me according to a protocol specific for FET.Leading up to that, I had a session on day 15 of cycle to help with the uterine lining - barely 7mm on that day, became 9mm on the transfer day - I also made a point of eating beetroot and drinking beetroot drinks.
During the TWW, because I regularly go to a local acupuncturist who has worked with IVF clinics, I had a session with her on Day 7 post transfer.
Then I got my first BFP on Day 9. Tested again on Day 13, still positive so I'm 5w now.
One thing though, if you're on blood thinners, let the practitioner know at the stage of enquiry. As the medications slow down blood coagulation, they may consider it as a risk of needling.
