Flying with medication

Hello! Has anyone had any experience flying with IVF medication (Lubion, cyclogest, progynova). Do I need a letter from my clinic? It’s with Ryanair if that makes a difference! 🤣

I had to take my trigger on a flight so had meds and sharps on me in a small cooler box with an ice block. I had a letter and it was fine. I would defo get one for hand luggage.

I flew recently with medication and for peace of mind I got a letter from my clinic. Just helps to know you have it if you need it x x

I flew with this exact medication on me earlier this year. I was advised by my clinic to keep everything in my hand luggage and carried a letter from the clinic explaining I was undergoing treatment. I didnt even get pulled aside in security, it was no issue - also good that these drugs don't need to be kept particularly cool. I also disclosed "fertility treatment" on my travel insurance for extra peace of mind. Enjoy your travels!

I used Ryanair quite a few times to get to our clinic. Each time I would ask for a letter from my clinic and have my protocol printed out. I also had to take a small cool bag with me- this is allowed outside the usual baggage allowance with gel ice packs. For my peace of mind I contacted Ryanair before the flight via their online chat and added the extra bag with a note to my ticket. Good luck

I flew with IVF medication and a letter from my clinic. Was never asked about it by security both at point of take off and landing. x
