So, after 4 failed IVF rounds behind us, I wanted to find out if our 5th round embryos have stared to implant at all. All I ever had previously were stark white BFNs. I have never ever had a positive pregnancy test in my hand and we have been trying for the last 8 years. I tested negative on 6dp5dt (cheap test) so I figured this time would also be a nope, but nevertheless a went for a lab test this morning (unofficially - my clinic suggested waiting until 14dp5dt). Anyway, the results came back with a HCG of 74 (IU/l). So, my questions are: how good is that number for 2 average grade hatching embryos? (Also, could someone link a table with the daily average hcg levels - there are conflicting information as to whether this is a low number or ok) can I be hopeful that this is happening?

this is a really good number for your stage, the important thing now is that it doubles every 48-72 hours xx

Mine was similar to that at 6dp5dt on my successful FET, and I'd got a BFP at 3dpt (so a super early implanter, and my HCG was high and went up quickly, like at a similar level to twins) so seems like a very good start and I'd definitely be hopeful with that number. The most important thing is that it roughly doubles over 2-3 days so if you can get the HCG test repeated that's the best way to tell it's going in the right direction, but it's not necessary and you may just be happy that you're pregnant and off to a great start 😊
