Bleeding in 2ww - is it too much

Worried I've bled too much. My test day is tomorrow and still testing negative. I had some brown spotting and cramping around day 6 which I was hoping was late implantation then I've had a couple of days with dark red blood which has been significant when I wipe and filled one pantyliner. Sorry for tmi. Clinic haven't got back to me and pretty sure the transfer has failed.

Hey - sorry you’re feeling like this, it’s such a hard time after an anxious process.

I’m sorry that I can’t give you positive news from my own experience. I bled heavily from day 8 and didn’t stop as it ended up being my period. It was a failed fresh transfer and it was devastating, especially as I kept looking for positive stories from people with the same experience.

The good news is that I did find a lot of positive stories from women who had bled a lot during the TWW and even into their pregnancy with a healthy pregnancy afterwards so it doesn’t always mean a fail. Plus, most clinics will advice to wait until day 10 to test and a blood test is always the most reliable.

Also, did you have one or two transferred? I’ve read a lot that sometimes if you’ve had two then the bleeding might be that one didn’t make it but in a lot of cases one did.

I know it’s hard going through this - every single person is different and every symptom and feeling never means the same as the next person so it’s really hard to give concrete info. I’d go for your beta on your test day and wait for the result from that first as the bleeding could mean anything.

I also asked them to test my progesterone and oestrogen levels at the same time just in case it was a failed transfer and I could see if it was because either of those levels weren’t right so they could use the info for next time.

It’s hard to stay positive but try keep busy at least to pass the time. Just one more sleep - I really hope it’s a positive result for you 🤞🤞🤞🤞

Thank you so much for your kind message. Im so sorry to hear yours didnt work. Hoping you will have another very successful chance soon? Mine was a single transfer, 5 day old FET and now on day 10. Really appreciate you for offering the hope as I keep looking for stories of bleeding and not coming up with much. I will definitely ask about the progesterone test as wasn't aware that's an option. I googled it and added ‘Reddit’ or ‘mums net’ as I particularly wanted forums for people’s own experience and I ended up coming across this site so I signed up. Not that the others weren’t helpful because they were I places but I found more info here and it feel more relatable.

I’m looking at trying an FET soon so will see how it goes!
