**SENSITIVE** First Scan Tomorrow

Should of had our first scan on Tuesday just gone (16th March) but they moved our scan to tomorrow due to not enough staff in on Tuesday.

I’ve obviously never gotten this far before and I’m now sat wondering if this will be an internal scan or not? And what should I expect to see and be asked?

I’ll be 7 weeks 1 day tomorrow according to the calculator...

Congrats on 7 weeks! I suspect it would still be an internal scan as it's quite early (though I had a stomach scan at 8 weeks and they were able to see everything). You should be able to see a tiny heartbeat as well. All the best for tomorrow!

I had a scan around this time with my wee boy and saw the butterfly like heartbeat it was amazing! Good luck xxx

It will be internal. External is after 10 weeks. They'll probably want you to have an empty bladder so do check before you use the loo on arrival! x

Good luck!! I had a scan at 7wks on my tummy but they did warn me that if they couldnt see what they needed to they would do a transvaginal too. My tummy scan showed everything.xx
