Today is my OTD, I tested one day early at 12DP5DT and then again this morning before I called the clinic. This mornings line is slightly lighter than yesterdays line and I’m now worried this is the start of a chemical. I’ve read chemicals happen between 4-5 weeks. Clinic have told me to enjoy the positive and have booked my scan for 4 weeks time 24th Nov. I’m really worried and not sure I can wait that long 😢

I know the wait is excruciating but maybe try testing again in a few days, as it may be difficult to see any distinct change only 1 day apart. But your lines are really strong (a proper dye stealer from the control line!) so hopefully all fingers crossed that that is a really good sign xxx
Thank you! It’s so hard. My fresh cycle ended at 5.5 weeks with chemical but my test lines before were squinter positives, this time they are stronger but worried with todays going lighter. Will test again in a few days 🤞🏻 xxxx
Sending you all my thoughts for the next few days xx and just saw your message below, yes your dark line is the test line! So it’s hopefully a very positive thing that your line is looking nice and dark xx
Hi Amanda252. I can completely understand the situation. Anxiety to wait till the scan is really something. Do you think you can get a blood test done?
I was in your boat just over a week ago! I did my head in thinking one test I took was slightly lighter than the previous day but all (touch wood) is ok and line progressed. I’ve become a serial tester which I know is a bit unhealthy. All the research says to only test every 48hrs (first wee of the day) as line progression does fluctuate a bit day to day.
But these lines look super strong to me (much darker than mine were to begin with).
My clinic only supplies a home blood test (self fingerprick test) - which you can also buy on Amazon.
Fingers crossed for you. Xx
Hi lovely!! Congratulations on your BFP 🥰 are you getting any symptoms at all? after a whole day on Google today I have just realised that my darker lines are the test lines and the lighter lines are actually the control lines. I’m not sure if that’s a positive thing or not? I’m hoping now I have totally mis-read my tests x
Oh bless you! Yes that’s what I thought when I looked at them… I’d take that as a very good sign!
No sickness (yet) but had a few symptoms (heightened sense of smell, needing to pee a lot, fatigue).
Though I do have test anxiety as the digital clear blue still showing 2-3 weeks and I think it should be 3+ by now. So that’s stressing me out a bit!
Good luck x
They sound the same symptoms as me also 😊 I read on one of the forums that the clearblue digital seem to be a bit behind where lots of women expect to see 3+ but are only seeing 2-3 weeks so try not to stress yourself out lovely 💕 good luck lovely I hope the rest of your pregnancy goes amazingly 💕
You can do serial blood test every 48 hours to see if doubling which is a good sign of good implantation. Also blood HCG > 200 on day 14ish is good sign too. You can ask them about it. Good luck!
You have very strong positive lines here!! Darker than the control line means strong hcg levels. I also had similar and was preg with twins 🥰
that line is soooooo strong! It doesn’t look like a chemical at all! The one at 13 days is actually stronger in my opinion and is ‘stealing’ more of the dye from the control line than at day 12. It’s a good diagnosis of the line in the right is lighter it means the HCG is so sitting that the dye mostly goes to the ‘test’ line. I am the highest worrier after a positive so I totally get where you are coming from but those test results are absolutely not something to worry about they are fantastically strong! congratulations xx 💜🤗
Your tests looked like mine. I also thought I had a chemical so was very surprised when my clinic told me my HCG level was 2054. They call it a dye stealer when the HCG levels are high and they steal the dye from the control line. The line on the left is the control and and usually is the darker line. Congratulations!
