My FET was on 27th, OTD tomorrow. The wind howling kept me up last night so I did a test just before midnight (9dp top pic) and again this morning at 7.45).
In my last FET i tested a day early and the line was much stronger (albeit the pregnancy wasn’t viable). Also in my previous cycles the line appeared much sooner than it had done this time which also worries me.
I’m thinking this could be a chemical? Will my period just naturally come if it’s not viable? Due to my miscarriage history I’m going to ask my clinic for HCG tomorrow. I’m so exhausted.
Thanks everyone xx

My line was a lot lighter than that on my chemical. It could just be the levels in your morning wee weren’t as strong because you’d been at midnight. Or slightly late implanted. Stay positive 🎉 your pregnant xx
I just wanted to say that I agree with above, my hcg seems to be better on my 3rd wee of the day or later at night with a 4 hour hold, I don’t know how that works but I think it could be because I had my transfer at 2pm? And not in the morning. Also if your embryo didn’t Implant until day 5 that means you have only had 4 days for your hcg to go up.
Definitely stay positive 🤞🏻 And I hope your clinic can help to calm your mind a bit and do a beta xx
This cycle I had the lightest line ever (we did two tests just to be sure that wasn't an evaporation line), and guess what? It is the only one that stuck past 7 weeks, and also the one with the highest beta!
Try to stay positive, and let us know regarding the hCG! xxx
At first I was convinced it has failed/was an indent too because it took a good while to develop. This gives me hope thank you. I’ve never got past the viability scan. Congrats on your pregnancy xx
Hi lovely, your first test will have dried and therefore look stronger at the moment. Both look like really good lines to me. I think mine were about the same when I finally tested at 8 weeks xx
My tests have always been much stronger later in the day/eve than first morning. I did have two early losses but when they happened the lines went suddenly very faint (not just a little) after OTD and CBD went to not pregnant fairly quickly after that. On the one that worked I also got the lighter lines every morning compared to the previous eve and thought early on it was another loss but it wasn't and just for some reason I get stronger lines later in the day. The only reliable thing I've found is HCG a couple/three days apart. And re OH being annoyed, on my last one I tested twice a day to compare morning with morning, evening with evening, and started to hide the tests under the bed to stop him realising how bad my testing 'habit' had become! - so it may not be a healthy approach but it's such an anxious time and you're not alone x
Thank you. I remember with my first cycle which was twins my lines were never super dark on test day and I had high hcg as was sick as a dog! First FET the test line was quite a lot darker than what I’ve had this time. It was almost appeared a negative this morning…and very very slowly that line appeared. Never had that before. I guess the only way of knowing would be for blood test. I need to go out and buy some more tests later as I have none left for OTD and ones from Amazon not arriving until tomorrow…🥴🤦♀️ I’ll have to hide the one I take tonight 🤣 xx
Just to update - think definitely a chemical. I picked up the below test from Superdrug yesterday (rapid response one) and it’s the slightest of faint lines. The worst thing is that this time round actually had symptoms 😭
I'm very sorry if it hasn't carried on. I'd still get HCG done just to make sure and also that's there's nothing like an ectopic. The symptoms are difficult as they give extra hope - I had such strong symptoms on my first transfer and I thought when I got an early BFP and it kept darkening after OTD that we'd just been lucky first timers. The second time I didn't get any symptoms even though same thing happened, or even on the third, which worked and HCG was very high - on that one I didn't get symptoms until a few weeks later. So I think a lot of it is the meds in the early stages. If this one doesn't work and you've had two or three early losses this normally means your doctors will do some extra tests to see what may be going on, but it depends and also if it's done through the NHS it can involve some delays. My clinics kept telling me that getting BFPs and development for even a short time was a good thing as it ruled out a lot of issues and tests - they also kept saying in our situation it was just numbers - it was hard to see it like that or think about continuing at the time though x
Thank you xx I’ve had tests done privately after my 2 miscarriages and nothing came back abnormal. They added clexane this cycle. Progesterone wasn’t increased but it was 137 on transfer day and had no spotting so I don’t think that’s the problem. Consultant will probably put it down to embryo problem…grade A on paper but obviously has abnormalities. I’ve always had this feeling we have a dodgy batch of embryos and that we should have had Icsi. Wondering whether to go for a double transfer next time but don’t think my other half will be persuaded to do that. Also don’t think we would cope with twins to be honest. We’ve decided that if we have one we would be very happy and content. Thanks for listening xx
Sorry to hear that. There may be others on here who can help with low initial numbers that still worked out ok and I was told by my GP anything over 5 was technically viable, but really they want to see 20+. My clinic asked me to keep taking the meds until I got to basically zero (I think for ectopic risk) so had to get the tests redone, but go with what your clinic advise. If it hasn't worked this time, and on your original question, I didn't get a proper bleed until a few days after coming off the meds and it wasn't much different to a normal period. I was also able to go straight into a collection after the first one, and then a FET the month following my second and that one stuck. But you may want to take a bit of time x
