we have just had our first round of icsi .. they thought I was risk of OHSS as I had lots of big follicles so they told me to do a buserelin trigger but then as they only got 12 eggs we went ahead with the fresh.
They gave me a small dose of HCG, and I was on estrogen and progesterone.
we had a perfect AA hatching embryo transferred and all along they have said my lining was perfect etc
The fresh transfer failed.. could the buserelin have been the reason for this? I know it’s just one of those things and there’s always a high chance of it not working but I just wonder if it had anything to do with it ..

Hello Teddy94 👋 I also had ISCI , many follicles & to take buserelin. I had 3 very good embryos. I got the impression that buserelin was needed for me. Fortunately it worked and am truly blessed with twins. From your post it all appeared to be looking very good. Don't loose faith & 🙏 next time it will be successful. Discuss your concerns with your clinic they should be able to reassure you. 💗
As previous post says it would be a good idea to discuss your concerns with your clinic/Doctor It may help settle your mind and hopefully reduce stress
My first round of ICSI they thought I was an risk of OHSS so I had Buserelin and only got 5 eggs and 1 embryo (5BB) which sadly didn't stick even though everything looked good etc. This time my hormones were slightly lower so I got the hcg trigger (ovitrelle) and got 13 eggs and 3 great embryos and docs said Buserelin may have been the reason for my poor first round so now I will be asking for hcg trigger on any future rounds. Still waiting to see if this embryo has stuck so can't comment on if it affects that.
