Are my clinic correct starting me on injections day 8 of cycle ? Short protocol

They want me to start my ivfmeds on a specific date this week which means I'll be day 8 of my menstrual cycle when I started Injecting bemfola . No down reg as I'm doing mild ivf.This just dosent seem right to me as someone else told me they are going through exact same short mild protocol but will be starting day 2. Looking for more stories. Do you think my clinic has made an error? I've already asked them they said start this date regardless of bleed date. But it dosent feel right.

By day 5 my dominant follicle will have been chosen. How will it be successful at stimulating more ? Everything I read online suggests it's taken early too

Hi I know some specialists choose to start at any time the AFC looks best but I think the best way is to put your concerns to them in an email asking these questions so they can give their reasoning. Only then will you feel reassured. Best of luck.

we alway start day 2 or 3 short protocol no down reg with first check of bloods 5 days later in case disease needs tweaked so does seem strange to wait until day 8 but I’ve never had ‘mild’ IVF could this perhaps be why? Are the maybe going for quality over quantity this time? I would defo ask to speak to the consultant to understand why it’s different from other clinics xx
