Hi all,

I started stims on Tuesday (3/10).

Just wanted to check if anyone else is around the same stage? Be lovely to have people to share it with.

I'm doing a short protocol. 😊

All being well with my baseline scan I'll be starting Stims this Wednesday, so just over a week behind you.

It'll be round 2 for me.

How's it going so far?

Aww good luck for Wednesday. How are you feeling about it?

It's not too bad. I'm used to the injections already. Mixing everything together was a bit daunting at first. The side effects are a bit weird though. All the random sensations I'm getting freak me out 😂

Yeah, I was kind of surprised by the physical effects of the injections, beforehand I had only really worried about needles, but like you said - you get used to that pretty quickly. I got to a point where I felt like all the sensations I was feeling let me know that the stims we're doing their job and things were happening in my ovaries! I know it's different for everybody though.

You must have your first monitoring scan soon?

I'm excited to be starting another round but nervous they'll be some issue with my baseline scan, just hopeful they'll see some follicles ready to grow...

Yes definitely. I didn't know what to expect, so to feel something is happening is reassuring.My first scan is on Wednesday. Introducing my second injection tomorrow night. Apparently that one can make you sleepy, so I'm looking forward to that 😂

Thanks for your post - it feels nice to have a few people going through cycles at the same time to chat to.

I wouldn't have had a clue what to expect without having watched videos on YouTube of other people going through the IVF 'journey'... what would we do without YouTube!?

Starting norethisterone tablets tomorrow, then injections start in just over two weeks 😬 first time doing IVF so a little nervous! When people stay ‘stims’, does that refer to the injections? Best of luck to you with it all, good a few of us going through it at a similar time! X

Good luck. I'm sure you'll be fine with the injections. Just watch lots of instruction vids on YouTube. That's what I did. Yes stims is stimulation injections. Thank you so much. Hopefully you're not getting too many side effects from the tablets. X

Hi MiniCeeCee, I've just come out of a frozen cycle and hoping to start my next in 4 weeks, so I might not be far behind you in terms of timing towards the end. The process is so complex and there are so many terms thrown about that it can be quite overwhelming to begin with, but you will be kept right and get the hang of it quickly. It will be absolutely fine. Good you have found this forum so early for any questions too. Good luck!

Hi all, how is everyone doing? I had my baseline scan yesterday and started injections last night. My follicle count was quite low compared to my last baseline and I'm struggling to feel positive as a result of that. Anneonimous - how did your scan go yesterday?

It wasn't great. One ovary not responding. The other has one follicle doing okay. I've spent the last 24 hours googling everything and feeling really low. It's tough, but keep the positive thinking going. What was your follicle count this time?

Remember it only takes one good egg. 😊 it is so hard though when numbers aren't what you are hoping for. Looks like I have 3 on each side (but some are tiny). I know it's more than some, but we have an added drop-off as we have to have our embryos tested at day 5 as we are doing PGD because of my partner's genetic condition. This means 50% of any embryos we get won't be usable. Is this your first round? I'm guessing so from your previous posts.

Sending good vibes for more follicle growing - will you be doing a few more days jabs?

When will your first scan be? I had some better news today. All 4 are growing, so I'm happier for now.

Yes it's my first round. I know it's seen as the practice round which makes it that little bit harder.

I'm going to continue stims over the weekend and back for my final scan on Monday.

I had reflexology yesterday which was lovely. I felt really relaxed afterwards. X

It's so good to do things to help you relax, it's really hard not to worry about how things are going - but you have to be kind to yourself and know that some things are out of your control...

I hope you have some lovely plans for the weekend.

My monitoring scan will be next Friday which feels like ages away... really hoping that I respond well as this will be my last cycle.

Right now I'm feeling positive for us both! x

Hey lovely. Great to connect with you. Hope the trigger went well.I'm in tomorrow for scan number 3! Still feeling nervous as I'm having some major cramping going on. Hopefully that's a sign of growth 😕
