Has anyone got a recommendations of where to find mental health support for fertility?
I have had a look at the BICA website but it doesn’t say much about price for therapy sessions.
Has anyone got experience/ idea of prices or recommendations of where to find support? Has anyone had any mental health support through the NHS for fertility?
Thanks

HFEA says “Because fertility treatment is such a complicated process, all clinics licensed by us must offer you an opportunity to talk to a counsellor before you start treatment. ” so they should have something available and hopefully with a short waiting time. It is an incredibly difficult process mentally so hope that you’ll be able to find the help you’re looking for.
Otherwise, check the NHS website, there’s counselling available via the NHS too. Or Mind might have free resources in your area. Alternatively, I’ve used the harley therapy website before to find counsellors (they just tend to listen) and psychologists (more expensive but able to provide recommendations). It might be worth having a look there, and see who you click with based on their profile description and who has good reviews.
No, I haven’t mentioned it to my GP yet as thought the waitlist for therapy may take a while but I think I’m going to at least enquire and see what they say. Thank you
