I am really sorry your cycle didn't work. Statistically, it is less likely for it not to the first time round as the clinic is still learning what works for you. Our first cycle failed too and I remember how soul crushing that felt. Take some time off to grieve and recover. My husband has low morphology too and our clinic recommended going straight to ICSI. That gave us 75% fertilisation rate. Did you do ICSI or standard IVF? Worth asking your clinic about supplements. Ours recommended Proxeed for men (and women - for me). We also both took Ubiquinol in addition to this and Vitamin D spray to boost egg and sperm quality. Don't give up, IVF is a journey and you never know how long it will take, but the goal at the end is worth it! Very best of luck!

hey sorry your cycle failed. Did you go private? You should find a clinic with advanced technology like PICSI/PIMSI. I’m only 6 weeks but I got pregnant at the first round and my partner has bad morphology and 0.5% motility..

I’m so sorry, I too was (still trying) in the same position. Husband also had low morphology but I also have a few issues of my own.

I 100% agree with everything Eloquentia has suggested. My husband did all of that plus omega 3 and his morphology has gone from 0% to 3% and we ended up with top grade embryos at our second egg retrieval. I was also taking similar vits to make sure we were giving our eggs and sperm the best chance.

We also changed to a completely Mediterranean diet and did acupuncture. My husband said he really felt like this helped in particular. Seems like a lot and can be overwhelming but it’s worth the try. We incorporated these changes slowly and then did it strictly for 3 months before our 2nd cycle. Just waiting for my FET now.

Don’t give up, it’s all trial and error in the beginning. Sending you lots of strength x

He’s taking Proxeed. You can purchase online. Other vits include omega 3, vitamin D, ubiquonol, pro-biotic, folic acid, pre-natal, vitamin c and e.

2% isn’t terrible either, if his count is high then you’ll have lots of good sperm available For IVF/ICSI.

All the best!

My husband has a low morphology but excellent numbers for the rest of spermipgram. First round, 0.5%. 4 out of 5 eggs (80%) fertilized with conventional IVF. 3 out of 4 (75%) with ICSI.1 x blastocyst from each method.

To address the extremely low morphology, he stopped going to sauna, we changed diet to Mediterranean.

Second round, improved to 2%. 11 out of 14 fertilised (78%), 4 blastocysts frozen.

So far our experience is low morphology hasn't been detrimental to ivf.

I don't know exactly where in your cycle it failed but morphology might not be the single factor. What were the other parameters? Any feedback from clinic on eggs and ovarian stimulation response?

everything is normal just morphology. I do not have any medical issue. Every thing normal.

We had a similar issue, and in the end of lucky cycle was actually an icsi. We had s negative cycle and another positive previously, both IVF, but the positive was an ectopic.

With ICSI we had a better fertilisation rate and managed to freeze one who became our DD ❤️❤️❤️

I’m sorry your first cycle did not work out.

I am in the same scenario. My clinic recommended icsi. I didn’t expect the first cycle to work, as statistically it was likely to take a few tries.

Keep your chin up, you have time on your side. I am over 40!

Did your clinic do icsi for you?
