How many days of medication is this?

I hope everyone’s doing okay. Sorry this is a silly question, but I’m worried about getting things right. I have a procedure coming up which happens 6-10 days after starting progesterone. If I am starting progesterone cyclogest (x2) today, would I start progesterone on day “0” and therefore Eg. day 10 is Tuesday 22nd? Or would day 10 be Monday 21st? Thank you for any help you can give me! Xx

Are you trying to work out your test date? You would usually start progesterone the day of egg collection, which is day 0, then transfer 3 days (72h) or 5 days (120h) after that. Most clinics will test 14-18d after egg collection. Mine was 11 days after a 5d transfer ie 16 days after egg collection with day 0 being egg collection day. So if I had egg collection today and therefore started progesterone today (12th), I’d test 16d after that on 28th. With medicated frozen transfers they would start progesterone then transfer 3 or 5 days after that depending on whether you had a 3d embryo or 5d blastocyst frozen. Hope that all makes sense xx

Thank you so much for the reply. So I have a procedure which happens 6-10 days after starting progesterone. I think from your message (and based on the dates to have transfers after starting progesterone), starting progesterone this morning is probably day “0” which means a full 9 days of progesterone would be Mon 21st and 10 days would be Tue 22nd? Xxx

Yes that sounds right but your clinic/whoever is going the procedure should confirm this with you as well xx
