laparoscopy - recovery time before starting IVF.

hi all, I am thinking about doing laparoscopy surgery abroad (Turkey) to remove 5cm cyst on ovary and possibly small fibroids (3 fibroids: 66mm, 10mm and 7mm) and was wondering if anyone knows approximately how long it takes to recover before I can do IVF cycle again?

Also, I read some posts re. laparoscopy And it appears 2 surgeries are described - exploratory laparoscopy and excise laparoscopy - so is it standard to require 2 procedures? Any advice would be very much appreciated. Thank you

Hiya I just had a laparoscopy & hysteroscopy last Thursday. He removed a cyst on my tube and some endo on my uterus and gallbladder. He said I should try natural (bearing in mind I’ve done 7 rounds of ivf) after a month for min 3 months, but implied ivf should be after a few months. I have a follow up in a few weeks when I’m going to ask my gynaecologist what he think about when to ivf but my ivf consultant made out like it was a minimum of 2 months. Hope this helps x

hello lotsofluckneeded, thank you for sharing - my consultant also said something similar - 2-3months, approximately. Which is probably good since I’ve been taking DHEA and CQ10 and so as you are meant to take them 3 months or so in advance it should work out, wishing the both of us very good luck!
