Steroid Dose

Hi

I was wondering what dose of steroids people took and when they started taking them for people who got an positive.

Sadly 10mg steroid on transfer day did not work for me.

Have you discuss the dosage with your clinic /consultant ? They are best qualified to answer this question as they know your history and blood results

It will vary base on your circumstances. My results show high NK cells so I am 20mg prednisolone daily from 5 days before embryos transfer.I am also on weekly intralipids for this immune issue. Had one intralipids 5 day before transfer . One on day of transfer. And weekly since .

I am also on Clexane, asprin, etc etc.. you will need to discuss with your doctor.

I’m currently on 20mg a day and have been since 2 days before my transfer. Currently in TTW.. this is the first time we’ve been prescribed as my results came back so bad. So hoping this works… I would ring the clinic to check if can amend dose. Good luck

No positive for me yet, currently 4dp5dt from 4th transfer with steroids (6th overall). This time I was on 30 for 2 weeks before transfer, now on 60 until OTD then back down to 40 if postiive. I'm usually ok 20 or 30 from transfer so this is loads. I don't have high NK cells but do have very high thyroid antibodies. I'm also on tacrolimus, clexane, aspirin and have had PRP injections.

20mg for me two days before transfer due to an endometrial lining which is consistent with implantation failure. Still no positive though.

20mg from day 3 of cycle. But this is first try with steroids so don't know if successful yet. High NK cells and recently doagnosed immune issue.

For my successful transfer I was on 30 mg a day since 5-6 days before transfer I think. I tried a lower dose of steroids before but didn't work. I was also on hydroxychloroquine, aspirin, heparin and extra progesterone. Good luck! xx

Hi there,

It really depends on your circumstances but I am on 10mg per day and have been since a few days before transfer (this cycle is successful so far ) I am also on intralipids but the dosages for both these were determined by blood tests my consultants did. It is probably best to check with your clinic again.

25mg. My doctor wouldn’t go lower than that x
