I’ve not had great news today, I started spotting today so took myself to A&E as I bleed at 4 weeks so was anxious as I was about 5.5 weeks. I was referred to EPU who did a scan & found nothing not even a sac 😢!
It seems to have been a miscarriage at 4 week, but I’m so confused as I had two really positive test on Sat & some symptoms started.
I know I’m not pregnant but it still hurts.
I did push for a HCG test which they did just for my peace of mind. x

So sorry for your loss. I had my scan at the EPU today and they also couldn’t see anything (as you said not even a sac). They did my bloods and my hcg was 345 so I need to go back for another blood test on weds. Did you get your result back yet?
I’m really hoping it’s not an ectopic 😪
But as sad as this is I’m determined not to give up and trying to take the positives out of it… the fact I actually got a positive test for the first time ever.

Thanks for your kind words, I’m sorry we’re in the same situations. I’m waiting to hear back on the blood test results but the embryo has gone so just for peace of mind I did the blood test.
Yeah I’m Sad too but didn’t really think I’d get a positive test firstly. I’ve got a frozen so will try that next but give myself some time first

I’m so sorry this has happened. I had a sac at 7 weeks but no embryo and it was devastating so I understand how you feel. My HCG was 300 and then 2 days later was 200 so confirmed that it was over. Maybe for you, worth a second HCG? My nurse mentioned pregnancy of unknown location which for me, was never going to be the case as I had an empty gestational sac, but sometimes they can’t see the pregnancy so early. I don’t want to confuse things for you but more just to work out the timing of what happened. My clinic gave me very little information and I had to piece it together myself and ask my GP (even I pay for private care at the clinic). I just needed to understand what happened, it helped me x
Oh, this exact thing happened to me yesterday too. I would have been 6 weeks. I had some brown spotting for 5 days but thought that could be normal so tried not to worry. Then on Sunday it turned to bright red bleeding with clots for about 5 hours. Still not loads of blood though. 111 sent a&e who sent me to EPU the next day, and they couldn't find anything pregnancy at all.
They too said pregnancy on unknown location, as urine still positive. But got my hcg back last night and it was 500something, so is going down as a week ago it was 774. Therefore it is over. My first ever pregnancy, after 7 tries. The positive feeling was only a week, but yet we had everything planned. I'm still in shock, even after the bleed I was hopeful all would be OK. It was a double embryo transfer, so maybe I thought one might survive.
And now I have to go back to the clinic to confirm, even though I know its over. And we have to wait and see what happens, will I bleed more, will I get pain. Let's see over the next few days. At least I don't think its ectopic and have to have surgery. Although right now I don't think I'd care if I did. It's so sad.
Hope you’re doing the best you can in this horrible situation. I’m waiting to hear on my blood test from yesterday but won’t be good news.

So sorry to hear this - I’m also in the same situation, though I’ve now been bleeding for five days and it doesn’t seem to be letting up and the pain today was the worse it’s been for about half an hour. It’s such a cruel cruel world - and I’m sure you’re all faced with babies and pregnancies everywhere you look! Hoping my second blood test tomorrow doesn’t reveal an ectopic.
Finding it incredibly hard to focus on work or anything else right now and struggling with the fact my friends don’t know so am gradually telling them as I need the support.

I know it’s such a hard situation as it makes you anxious, 🤞🏼the bleeding will stop. Worse of the bleeding for me was about two weeks ago & the worse only lasted 3 days but I’m thinking that was when I lost the embryo.
I know it’s hard not to stop thinking about it as it’s such a roll caster. 🤞🏼we get another chance. Please try not to blame yourself xx

Bleeding just about stopped now which is a relief and my blood test result yesterday showed hcg dropped by 58% so the EPU was comfortable it was a “normal” MC and not ectopic which is something… I’m also feeling a lot better in myself today and feel like I’ve now got some closure and can move on. I also had a few drinks with work friends last night which I needed so that was nice. How are you doing? X
Very sorry to hear this. I had bleeding in the middle of the night around 10 days (before blood test date) after my fresh embryo transfer and had to go A and E to rule out if I was pregnant. I was very traumatised by it as it was my first embryo transfer. Your situation sounds even more heartbreaking since you already had BFP and was looking forward to having a baby.I think all of us who do IVF are especially brave and hardworking having to go through so much procedures. Even after you get BFP you worry about the pregnancy the whole time till you give birth. It is like a roller coaster ride.
This community is especially supportive and after reading so many people's comments I found out that so many people have gone through so much and come forward to share their experiences.
I know it must have come out as a shock to you. Praying for you... No matter what the outcome is we will support you.

So sorry for your loss be kind to yourself. Also make sure they repeat your HGC bloods to confirm they are dropping as ectopic can be hard to find on a scan even internally x

I'm so sorry to read this I was the same this happend to me a couple weeks ago at 5 half weeks it's heartbreaking but I love how Ur taking the positives and it will get easier with time I am now thinking positive too we got this! Xx
