Scared for 3rd HCG test today—what would be a good number?

One week ago, my HCG was 785. If this pregnancy is progressing well, does any well informed person (maybe Diane?) know what would be a good number range to see today, seven days later?

I am waiting for my results and feeling very nervous, especially since I don't know how to interpret the results. I knew to look for a number that doubled in 48 hours, but I don't know what to expect a week later at this stage in the pregnancy, of nearly 5 1/2 weeks.

How much should your HCG rise in one week, from 309 at 4w1d, to 785 at 4w3d, to today at 5w3d? What should I be looking for?

Dear Lux,It can vary a lot, but I used to follow this table: americanpregnancy.org/getti...

If i remember correctly, mine was around 100 then 375 the next time they checked, and by the 5th week it was around 1000.

Yours seems to be a very good number!

I am crossing my fingers for you!

just by applying some basic maths, assuming the numbers double every 48 hours, you’d looking for around 6000 now. Obviously when they receive the results and ring you they can explain/reassure you xx

Hello LuxFleur, keeping it all crossed for you today! I found these calculators/charts quite useful:

Much love, you're doing great! x

Hi there

Like everyone else has said, the calculators are quite useful so you can track the percentage increase and it will indicate if the rise is appropriate. Don’t worry if it slows down >6000, the doubling time tends to be over 96 hours by this point.

Thinking of you and sending you lots of positive energy for a healthy successful 9 months…

That's really helpful to know. I thought it might slow down but I wasn't sure when that was supposed to happen. Thank you xo
