Hey , I'm going for my first IVF appointment not sure wot to expect my partner has to attend with me , I'm very nervous,

Can anyone tell me how the first appointment goes , ? And after the first initial appointment how long it takes for the actual IVF process? Thank you so much xxxxxxxx

It's actually in the next 3 weeks aswell I have pcos and an ovarian cyst that keeps being drained and coming back xxxxxxxxx

hey! Nothing to be worried about it is so common now and the clinics are mostly lovely to deal with! Everyone’s journey is completely different but from my experience it is all dependent on timing your period (one investigations and treatment plan is agreed)!

First meeting is planning the investigation (bloods hycosy etc) next meeting was discussing results and finalizing plan! This took a full cycle for me and on my next period o started the egg collection cycle and from there it’s all about ur bodies reaction (my first egg collection cycle got cancelled because I had loads of follicles but none mature enough to extract so they upped meds on my next cycle).

Embryo Transfers can be fresh or frozen (depending on how ur body reacts during egg collection process). My second attempt at egg collection we had to freeze all because the upped meds caused OHSS. Your clinic will guide you 1000%.

My advice for you… Write down questions when u think of them so you don’t forget, be kind to yourself and try live in the moment (when doing IVF I get so impatient)!

Thank you so much for your message, I think it's going to the unknown area as I have been on gonal f and timed for over 2 /3years now, tryin no joy , trying for a little one over 5 years it's a hard journey, so far I feel ready, 🙏❤️, so this is the next step , me and my partner have been discussing freezing my eggs as I do feel as if time is of the essence ❤️ so happy to be attending the appointment me and my partner are overjoyed trying to understand our emotions right now as it's your message has really help me to understand the process 😊thanks you so much, ❤️🙏🌹 xxxxxxxxxxxx
