Two week wait help

Hello alli am currently in the my first icsi cycle and had my embryo transfer bank holiday Monday. Yesterday i decided to prepare dinner and picked out the potatoes from the cupboard and continued to fill the saucepans with the veg and water and lift onto the hob. I didn’t even think whilst doing it as it’s just normal day to day things but now really worrying I may have ruined my chance. Can anyone shed any light? This two  week wait is hard! Thank you x

I’m not sure I understand what happened with the potatoes do you mean you lifted something? I think if you’re doing normal day to day things that’s absolutely fine and won’t ruin your chances at all - the 2WW is really really tough though so you’re bound to have these moments of worry ! My clinic told me that embryos in there it can’t fall out or anything like that and to just continue with normal activities X

Hello

Sorry just read back what I put and understand it probably doesn’t read well!

I basically picked up a 2kg bag of potatoes out of the cupboard onto the side then cut them up and put them in a saucepan and then carried the saucepan over to the hob and been worrying I probably shouldn’t of done that. Thank you for replying ☺️ x

You really don’t need to worry 😊. I’m just about to do an embryo transfer and have a 15 month old to lift up and carry around afterwards. As long as you’re not doing heavy duty weight lifting you’ll be fine 😊 And good luck 🤞

hello I honestly wouldn’t worry. The first few transfers I did I was as gentle as possible they didn’t work, by the time it came to the 5th transfer I was just getting on with everyday life. I was carful of bending and didn’t drink that was really it xxx

Hi Sophiegeorgia. Try not to worry, your little embryo will be safe inside you. Hopefully all will turn out ok for you, but if it doesn’t it won’t be because of the potatoes. Good luck. Diane

Sophie don’t worry you will be absolutely fine. I was the same as Boo….careful with my initial transfers that all failed and then was very lax on my final one that worked. Still didn’t drink or do very vigorous workouts but more than usual and I had success! Good luck xx
