Before I even got a chance to test to see if my first transfer had worked I got my period. I was already having trouble sleeping with the anxiety of test day approaching. And had planned to take a test today as I couldn’t bear waiting any longer and figured it was D12P2DT so should show up if it was positive. I did one to confirm it was a BFN.
Even though I had no symptoms at all and felt completely normal, I still had hope that it would work… so feeling pretty heartbroken - especially as we only had one embryo so nothing frozen to transfer.
We have paid for two rounds (via Access Fertility) so do have another fresh cycle to go and I’m really hoping I might get more than two eggs next time (despite my low AMH).
I’m keen to get going asap with the next round so will speak to my clinic tomorrow morning to see whether it could happen this month or if we have to wait until June? Has anyone else done back to back months?
Sending baby dust to everyone.

hi, I did a multi cycle of 3 rounds. And completed 2 that were back to back as the clinic would say but I still had to have another period after the bleed from BFN, before starting the next round. I did however do zolodex before starting my cycles and followed the long protocol. I also have adenomyosis and endo, also low AMH. Only ever had max of 4 follicles in total and both times only 3 eggs retrieved & one made it to a day 5 embryo. I always new my numbers we’re low but desperately wanted ti try with my own egggs before moving onto as clinic had suggested to DE. X
Hi, I’m so sorry to hear this. I bled a day or two before my OTD on my second cycle. I made sure I was put on additional progesterone (Lubion) after this as was told by fertility specialist that I shouldn’t really have bled before OTD. Since being on this I’ve not bled before test date, so may be worth speaking to your clinic about?
I’ve not done back to back months with cycles so no advice there I’m afraid.
Definitely ask them about changing progesterone type and testing your levels 👍I was the same as Elmo13, cyclogest alone didn't do it for me in so ivf cycle, I also started my period early on just the pessaries. I needed lubion injections to get my levels up, then I never bled early again. So sorry this time didn't work for you Lovely xx
I’m so sorry HoneyB11 😢 Sending you hugs. Most clinics like you to have a 3 month break between egg collections to let your ovaries recover from being punctured. Usually that will mean your withdrawal bleed (the 1 you are having now) then either 1 or 2 natural period’s depending on whether you use the long or short protocol.
