first icsi/ivf cycle

hi everyone, i am devastated our first cycle we had 9 fertilized eggs we froze them then we decided to thawed 6 of them and one of them was looking ok but on day 5 the embryo still looking between day 3 and 4 so at morula stage even though i decided yaterday to meke the transfer even the chances are nearly impossible to implant. I asked the doctor about the other 3 he said the he think it will be the same and we should do another cycle i don’t have a question but i don’t know what to do i am in germany and the don’t freeze blastocyst from the beginning only fertilized eggs and we did not do fresh transfer because i had a risk to have ovarian hyper stimulation i had 40 follicles and the size was perfect but only 16 egg retrieved and 13 were mature what should i do ????

13 mature eggs and 9 fertilised is a really good outcome it’s hard to tell what’s happened and if the thaw had anything to do with the drop off from 9 to 1 but it might be worth speaking to the embryologist in more detail around why you had such a drop off at what stage etc different stages of when they drop off (ie day 1/2 can indicate speed day 3-5 could be eggs etc) can indicate whether it’s potentially a sperm or egg quality issue which some supplements can help with and there is additional tests that can be done on the sperm.

I also wouldn’t give up on the 3 fertilised day 0 ones you have and would see how they cultivate before I would go down the same route at your current clinic again as I’m not sure what would change on another round that these 3 wouldn’t have the chance of developing because of?

If they didn’t survive the thaw or they think freezing them so early had an impact I would probably look into going abroad so that they could cultivate until day 5 from fresh and then freeze (if needed) Xx
