abnormally fertilised eggs? What’s the chances?

hello all.

At our IVF Cycle last year we managed to get 4 embryos to blastocyst stage all a good grade. 3 of these were a normal fertilisation seen by the embryologists, and we have transferred all of these resulting in 2 BFN and one pregnancy, which sadly ended at 10 weeks when the baby’s heartbeat stopped.

I have one egg remaining in the freezer, and this is a day 5 blastocyst grade AB, but this was an abnormally developed blastocyst in that only one pro nuclei was seen by the embryologist. It was still frozen though, because of the way it continued to develop. I spoke with the consultant yesterday, and she said it’s still worth transferring this blastocyst, even though the chances are less.

what are others experiences? Anyone have an abnormally fertilised egg that worked?

Hi I don't have a happy experience of an abnormally fertilised embryo.

What I wanted to say is that clinics do not freeze anything without potential.

Good luck!
