I did plenty tests some of them I understood perfectly the meaning of them but others not quite, but I went with my doctor advice. For example KIR test is done in women with recurent miscarriage, you should be KIR Bx, this is either AB or BB. If your kir comes back as AA than you are in "trouble". Thrombophilia I think is straightforward, some testes will say positive or negative to certain illnesses and others you will have to check the range provided by your clinic. NK cells tests are more complex, usually you have a range also.
I had all the tests done on my doctor advice, I understood the reason for having them but I couldn't understand the results properly. For example on KIR test you have inhibitors and receptors for each person they are quite different. I didn't understand why we should know them when we actually needed to know if you are BX or AA. So this sort of things confused me so much and the list of examples can carry on. If you need any help, you can PM me I am more than happy to let you know what I learnt thought the years. 💞♥️
We used FGA for immune treatment alongside our NHS cycle. We tested for NK cells and TH1/2 alpha with the Chicago test. I don’t have a great understanding of the results but just understood it all as inflammation and a hyper immune response that may attack an embryo. We just followed Dr Gorgy’s advice on the treatment he deemed suitable. I was in hydroxychloroquine before my FET and throughout most of my pregnancy and had clexane and intralipids. He also kept a close eye on my progesterone, which the NHS clinic wouldn’t have done, and prescribed me prontogest (progesterone in oil) injections. All of this resulted in our beautiful daughter. We will be heading back there for our next round xx
