Anxious about Immune protocol

Hi all, I’ve been give an immune protocol by a London based RI. I’m due to have intralipids at the hospital soon and have been told this process will take 6 hours! Has anyone else had this? How was it?? I’m feeling so nervous about it.

I’m also due to start Prednisolone 25mg on day 10 of cycle. Anyone else had this? How did you find it? Did it lead to a successful, healthy pregnancy / baby?

TIA x

I had intralipids multiple times and it was never longer than 1.5/2 hours. I was on prednisolone too 20mg and found it fine but take with food to avoid nausea. I had both for 3 transfers and 2 that worked! Good luck x

Can I ask what your intralipid and prednisolone protocols were?

That’s really good to hear and congratulations! Can I ask what cycle day you started the Prednisolone? I feel like they’ve asked me to start it too early!

6 hours?! Does that include wait time to be seen? I had the same immune protocol as you and continued with intralipids twice more after my positive pregnancy test. It was the only transfer that worked and I’m currently 17 + 4. My advice is, don’t be scared. Trust the process and the doctors. Also, no idea where they got 6 hours from. Mine was always 1-1.5 hours per infusion.

Thank you for replying, it’s such a daunting process. I think the 6 hours is because it’s classed as a ‘slow infusion’ and it’s quite a concentrated mix?? Would you mind DM-ing me where you had your intralipids. Also, did you start your Prednisolone before or after transfer?

Congrats on your pregnancy, reassuring to hear this worked for you 💛

Thank you! And really good to hear you’ve had the same protocol as me. I am getting a bit concerned about the 6 hour thing tho! I’m due to talk to the nurse tomorrow about it as it does seem a long time! Would you mind DM-ing me where you had your intralipids? I may have look elsewhere - I don’t want to be hooked up to a drip for that long 😬😬

Fingers crossed for your transfer! 🤞🏼🤞🏼🍀
