Day 2 post embryo transfer and covid in the house! Can anyone give any reassurance, would it impact outcome if I got it too?

I’ve just had an embryo transfer 2 days ago (secondary infertility) so in the early stages of the 2 week wait and tonight my 15 year old son has just tested positive for covid.

I was trying to keep positive after getting this far as it’s the first time I’ve got to transfer and now this. Worried sick that if I get it, it’ll affect the outcome.

Has anyone experienced covid during the 2ww and still had a successful outcome?

Speak to your clinic for reassurance but I would think your embryo is quite safe. Take care and hope your son gets better soon

Covid is very rife atm, my partner found out he had covid a few days into my 2 week wait and unfortunately, I caught it too. It doesn’t seem to have affected anything as we had a positive pregnancy test on day 9 of our two week wait and currently on day 14 and all still seems well. Try not to worry and wishing you lots of luck xxxxxx

Thank you, that’s really reassuring to hear 😊 I’m 4dp5dt and it feels like the longest wait ever 🙈 Having never got to transfer before I’ve no idea how I should be feeling but I just feel normal…am hoping that’s not a sign it’s not worked. Just keeping everything crossed 🤞

I had a 3 day transfer of 2 embryos so a slightly different experience. It’s still early days for you so I wouldn’t worry about not feeling any different, I didn’t either to be honest. It’s only now that I’m 14dpt that I’ve started to get the typical pregnancy symptoms like sore breasts. Fingers crossed for you and try to relax. Xx

I was determined I was going to hold off testing until official test day which is a week today but think I’m going to test on Tuesday which will be 8dpt 🤞

Oh gosh you might be having twins then, how exciting 😊 Only the one put back for me so unless it splits it’ll just be the one xx

I’ve booked for an early 6 week scan so hopefully we will know if there is one or two. I do love the idea of two. Excited to follow your progress and hoping you get a BFP too! Xx

I was determined I wasn’t going to test early but caved and bought some tests that will arrive tomorrow. Going to test maybe Tues which will be 8dp5dt. I’m scared to test though in case it’s negative 😬 xx

it’s too tempting isn’t it, i actually got my first very faint BFP 7 days after my day 3 transfer which I’ve heard is quite early. Fingers crossed for you xxx
