Hi everyone, I am new to this so bear with me, I have had my transfer on the 21st of November I was to test on the 2nd December so I did the test the hospital gave me and it showed up a every every faint second line then I get another test and that was negative then I did a home self blood test and a faint second line showed up on that then I did a test this morning and it was negative so what do I believe, Am I living a lie to believe I could be as I haven't started my cycle today which I am clock work when it comes to my periods, I am experiencing cramping but nothing like I usually get as I have endometriosis and suffer really bad with my cycles . This is my third transfer and don't think I could pray anymore for my babies to stick . I experiences bleeding last time which I didn't experience this time . Does anyone esle have this experience??

Hi Cassy, it might be worth asking your clinic or GP for a blood HCG level to clarify. Otherwise waiting a few days might give a clearer answer on a home test. Best of luck, this is such a horrible process xx

Thank you , going to wait for a few more days then see if my cycles comes if not il get blood test done by the clinic .

Hi Cassy2023, I would suggest you speak to your clinic 1st thing in the morning. Ask them if you can have a hcg blood test (that’s the pregnancy hormone) asap. That will determine what your levels are. From that the clinic will be able to tell whether it is an ongoing pregnancy.

If you are still taking your meds (progesterone etc) then that can delay any period bleeding & therefore lack of bleeding doesn’t necessarily mean you are pregnant I’m afraid.

I’m sorry to say that 1 possible outcome is that this is what we call a ‘chemical pregnancy’ That means the embryo did implant but only briefly & did not carry on growing. It’s technically a very early miscarriage.

I do hope that is not the case for you but wanted you to be prepared.

Feel free to message me if you want any further advise as I have experienced 2 chemical pregnancies myself.
