FET transfer done, now for the TWW

I posted a while back wondering how many Embryos to transfer. My clinic told me they would only transfer 1 but I wanted to push for 2. I had 4 x 4aa frozen and 2 lower grades. I am 39, my fresh transfer didn’t implant in March but I do have a 5 year old from a previous ICSI.

I have asked and asked for the last few weeks if they would change their mind and do a double but I kept being told no.

We went for the transfer yesterday, the first embryo didn’t make the thawing process but the second one did. The embryologist also told us looking at the algorithm in my file we were able to transfer 2, he seemed shocked that we weren’t already having 2 transferred.

Oh my days I was ecstatic, I can’t believe we actually got what we had wanted right from the start.

We were delayed by a couple of hours but we did’t care 🙂

My clinic also offer the assisted hatching fee of charge.

So I am hoping this time we will get a BFP 🤞

My official test day is the 21st (Monday) but I am so impatient I’ve already decided I’m testing from the 18th 😬Good luck for your test day, when is your test day? x

Reading on here so many clinics have different time scales for testing. Some do bloods and some homes tests. I tested 2 days early last time as my test date was Mother’s Day, didn’t want the result to be remembered on that day if you know what I mean. I called the clinic for advice and they said it was unlikely to change. So I’m going by that really 😬. I’m terrible, just so impatient. Thought I could control myself this time but I don’t think I can lol.

Oh totally understand that!!! I wish my clinic did a blood test but they just do a home test. X

Yes mine is home test too. With bloods they can test earlier I’m sure. I guess it’s more reassuring if the clinic are the ones telling you the result from a blood test x

Unfortunately none of our 7 embryos stuck so we’ve ended our ivf journey x
