Our little girl has finally arrived after 2 years of infertility, 2 ICSI rounds of egg collections and one transfer, ostensibly to treat severe male factor but actually, as it turned out, as a work around to my inability to produce many eggs too.
I feel incredibly blessed that our IVF journey was relatively short (for now: who knows what will happen if we eventually try again!). The odds we were given at the start of our journey were devastating, so I just wanted to share hope that IVF is unpredictable, and it can work out even when it seems impossible.
I also just wanted to thank all the wonderful women on this forum, without whose kindness and support I would’ve been truly lost. You guys are the most amazing people: strong, knowledgeable, intuitive and just incredibly kind.

Thanks, beautiful. We are both doing well although the birth was a bit traumatic and has taken some time to recover from! All worth it though. I hope you are feeling a little better now and looking forward to next steps. Xxx

ooh wauw, yes! Iris was born the 17th of November! We are doing well, lots of sleepless nights and she is only now starting to sleep maybe 2-2,5hr at a time max haha, huge improvement from 1-1,5hr. And breastfeeding been a bit of a struggle but getting better now and start to find a bit of a routine for as far as that is even possible with a little one! But enjoying every day with her. She is just a perfect, happy little girl 🥰🥰🥰
Sleep was so hard to start with, it took a while for us… but it does get better. Then it gets worse, then it gets a little better.. and even better still 🥰 Rollercoaster of a journey - one I have found hard to adjust to at times.. my new role, identity change..but would not change anything and would do it all over again!! 🥰🧡 The love is amazing and intense 🥰 Wishing you all the best for the New Year!

I completely understand! The first few weeks are generally the most trying. At least it was for me. I am doing well and so is my little one who is 1 years old! 🤯
