brown discharge 6 weeks

hi,

We are 6 weeks and 2 days pregnant through IVF and this morning I’ve just had brown discharge and it’s sent me into a state of panic. Has anyone had this and it’s been okay?

I had brown discharge at 5+6 which then turned bright red. I bled for an afternoon before it went back to brown for a few days. I’ve had two scans since then and everything is fine. I’m 11+4 now. Pain and clots is an indication that things are not okay so try not to panic too much (not possible, I know!!) xx

Hi, I had brown discharge at 5 weeks and then again at 7 weeks. It went on its own after about 5 days. Clinic put it down to implantation bleeding and pessary irritation. My son is now 7 months old. Its so stressful seeing any blood old or new but doesn't mean the worst! Hope everything goes okay x

I also had brown discharge on and off for a couple of weeks. It was terrifying. It turned bright red for a day and then back to brown. My doctor said it’s old blood. I never did bleed during implantation so I think it just pooled and slowly released as my uterus grew. I’m now almost 30 weeks and haven’t had any bleeding since. Good luck to you!!
