This is my first post on here so I'l start with a bit of background about my journey so far. My partner and I had a miscarriage in 2019.we awited a while before trying again but have been trying to conceive for just over a year with no success of pregancy. My GP referred me to a fertility doctor. All tests came back fine, including my partner's.
I've been getting sharp pains on and off around the site of my ovaries so at my appointment, I had an internal exam and they said that my right ovary is lower than normal and close to my uterus which can indicate endometriosis 😔. They also said my ovarian reserve appeared low for my age (33). This has since been confirmed with a blood test of my AMH hormone.
I was wondering if anyone else has been told this and what have your experiences been? I am now awaiting a laproscopy (keyhole surgery of my pelvis) to confirm ro refute endometriosis.
It sounds like our option will be to go straight down the IVF route. I am however worried that the success rate will be low, as my understanding of endo is that it can affect your egg quality as well as egg count.
I would really appreciate any advise or hear from others who have been through a similar experience ❤️😔 feeling very sad and alone right now..x.

in 2020 i came to know that i have endometriosis and both fallopian tubes were blocked. They performed a laprascopy to remove cyst and to open the tube, and got success in opening of one left tube. But unfortunately tube was not working. After trying for one year we visited to ivf centre and in first try i conceived, even after that time my cyst came back, but it didn't affect my implantation. I hope you got some positive thought after this. Good
Thank you so much for for response. It's comforting knowimg that you had a positive experience and were able to get pregnant❤️. I just need to keep hoping anand praying and hopefully things will work out. All the best and thank you once again for sharing your experience
First of all I am so sorry to hear about your mc. Sending you all my love.
So, My husband and I have been trying for 2 years now which led myself to investigate a little further. This is where I found that I also have endometriosis as well as a low AMH. (I am 31).
I have just completed my first IVF cycle and am currently 4 weeks pregnant. So while everyone is different I did just want to let you know that it’s not impossible. I was convinced because of my low AMH and the amount of eggs I got at retrieval that I would have to buckle up for another round. I ended up with only one embryo but as cliche as it is, “it’s does only take one “.
Just remember to take each day as they come and don’t let yourself worry too much about the next day, because like it or not it’s coming anyways so you don’t need to worry about it, it will take care of itself. Just focus on the day at hand and if it’s shit let yourself feel shit for that day then start again the next.
Hi Kenzo17, I found out I had endometriosis in 2019 after having an ectopic pregnancy. It was a natural pregnancy we had been trying for almost two years at that point. When we started IVF I was told my egg reserve was low for my age, then after second round told my eggs were poor quality and to look at doner eggs. But we did a 3rd round and now I am 19 weeks pregnant. Full story in my profile. So there is hope. Good luck on your journey
