Hi there, Any advice, thought would be well appreciated as my first few steps on the IVF journey have just started. Low AMH, but compare to previous AFC (only 4 follicles), baseline scan showed min of 7 follicles. Not a lot, but I will go for quality. 😄
I am starting medications today, next scan is on Tuesday.
Please, share your experience, advice what to do and not to do: exercise, food, drink (no chinese tea or herbal stuff- according to the clinic) mental health etc
Thank you!

I ate rubbish with both my frozen transfers (aka both my boys!). If you get struggle with your thoughts, get signed off, (best advice I ever received), your the priority. I also had accunpunture with my bfps the day before or close to transfer. I made the most of Netflix and tried my best to chill out. All the best lovely! 💚🍀🤞🏼
Thank you! My accupuncturist is off for 3 weeks. I hope she will have a great holiday, but not great timing for me. I am my mum's full time carer, unfortunately I cannot sign off... but will get some help in, maybe.
totally agree with Holly! Your mental health is priority and keep yourself occupied. Reading my favourite books and rewatching childhood movies made me feel “normal”.. all the best 🤎
Very best of luck! I recommend reading the book 'It all starts with an egg', I found it really helpful in terms of recommended lifestyle changes and food supplements. I took antioxidants and Coenzyme Q10, vitamin D and probiotics. Also protein rich diet, including protein shakes and yoghurts.
Thank you for your suggestion. I have read the book and found it useful; taking all the supplements as well. Probably, I need to use more protein in my diet. What brand of CoQ10 do you recommend? Thanks! xx
Hi lovely, before I started IVF the only things I could find convincing evidence for was COQ10, vitamin D, lots of lean protein and lots of healthy fats like avocado, so that’s what I did! I tried not to worry overly much about cutting things like sugar out as it made me so neurotic, but instead to embrace the positives of adding good things in, if that makes sense. I also changed up my exercise routine to be more gentle as I wanted my body to focus on producing good eggs.
For relaxation, I invested in an acupressure mat, and I’d lie on that every night and listen to a guided meditation. It really helped! Xxx
hello! I would say look after yourself eat healthy, destress , meditate or yoga. Eat at least 50/60g protein a day, accunpture x 2 to help follicles grow
And most of all just focus on each day each scan and take it day by day. Xxx here if you have any questions too x
Thank you for your message. I cannot believe that my acupunturist had to go on a "suprise gift" holiday. When I need her the most! How selfish, I know! What do I do? Should I find someone else in the meantime? She is back on the 10th of November. Egg collection is around the 25th of October.
Protein is a great idea. I will try the shake as well, as food.
