Hi everyone, currently 4weeks+5 days and just went to the toilet and had some light brown discharge and am now fearing the worst. Sorry for the TMI pic, wondering if I need to get my bloods drawn again on Monday to see if my HCG has dropped x

Discharge worry
Hi lovely. Try swapping your Cyclogest pessaries to the back of you’re taking them in the front. The can cause irritation of the cervix that leads to brown discharge (that’s what happened to me!) xxx
I already do them at the back always have done x
Oh I see, but like Daisy says there can be lots of reasons for brown discharge. You’ll find your midwives only really get worried about a lot of bright red blood not small amounts of brown as it’s usually old blood xxx
light brown is really normal (and honestly that’s hardly any!). It’s old blood and often initially from implantation, irritated cervix like Redsequin says or can be from your uterus expanding. Don’t panic! Deep breaths, this will happen quite a lot (in my experience) and is often actually a good sign that things are progressing x
Thanks I really hope you’re right, it’s really scared me 😪 x
hey there, old blood and such a tiny amount is not a cause for concern. But there’s no harm whatsoever in speaking to your doctor/nurse etc as it might be a case of needing more progesterone xx
Perfectly normal, tbh I don't know anyone who has NOT had this at that sort of time between 4 and 8 weeks. If it gets heavier or red then time to call someone. X
I am 5 wks 4 days and have that (even a little more than your pic) every few days. Freaked me out at first but like the ladies have said, totally normal 😊 x I even feel reassured now when I see it as I know something's happening as otherwise I have basically no symptoms! How you feeling otherwise?
I hope the others have reassured you a little. I also had this from around 4-10 weeks. Maybe a little longer. I was also really worried (we can’t help ourselves it’s natural)
I spoke to others on here and rang the clinic who were great and reassured me.
When I was a bit further on like 10 weeks they brought me in for an ultrasound and reassured me again. They were great.
Even just speaking to someone on the phone made me feel better.
I now have a healthy 14 month currently running around.
Ring the clinic or your GP / out of hours depending on where you are just for reassurance. Xxx
