Just when you start to hope that maybe, just maybe this could be a straightforward pregnancy, it all goes tits up. 6weeks pregnant (3rd IVF round, 5th pregnancy) and started bleeding. It was bright red this morning although has calmed right down now. I’ve also got cramping in my lower stomach.
I don’t really know why I’m writing this here. Just know you guys will understand what I’m going through and hopefully a few of you can give me positive stories of having bleeding/cramping this early on and it all turning out okay. Viability scan has been brought forward to Monday. Trying to hold on to hope but I’m feeling very defeated. 💔

No words of wisdom from me just wanted to send strength, positive vibes and hugs your way. All the best of luck for Monday and I hope with all my heart everything is fine ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏🍀🍀🍀🍀❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
keep positive my lovey. I remember having a little bleed when I was pregnant and the clinic said bed rest for a few days. Have everything crossed for you xx
what a worry for you. Was it single or double transfer? I have seen so many women on here have bleeding and it’s been ok. I am crossing everything it’s ok for you xx
I didn’t have any cramping but I had a huge bleed at six weeks (and I mean huge - a sudden rush of blood and it lasted a good hour) and she’s currently fast asleep on my shoulder. I’ve got everything crossed for you, it’s such a turbulent ride xxx
sending you positive thoughts 💜 I had huge bleeding episodes with bright red bleeding and clots from a SCH ftom 5-8 weeks and we made it through to healthy baby. I did have some cramps that went along with it but they were different cramps from my miscarriage (less intense and only really when I was bleeding) I found in my research so many reasons for early bleeding especially with IVF. Hoping for a positive outcome for you xx
thank you. I hope you have a smooth rest of the pregnancy 🤞🏼
Hi there, yes we had lots of bleeding and multiple haematomas up until around 13 weeks, very scary but little bump is now 27 weeks. Good luck for the scan.xx
I had to comment because the exact same thing happened to me. I was 6 weeks and 5 days when I started bleeding bright red blood. There was a lot of it and I assumed the worst. I had to wait 2 days for my viability scan and it was horrible. However, it turned out that I had a haematoma. Apparently, they are quite common generally but especially with IVF. Baby measured perfectly at the scan. I had some spotting for a few weeks afterwards but the haematoma had gone by 12 weeks. I'm now 36 weeks.
I know bleeding is really scary and I've experienced miscarriages before so I know how you are feeling. But in my case it turned out okay. Sending love xx
Oh bless you, this is rotten. I had something similar around 8weeks pregnant with my first. It wasn't bright but was enough to also move the scan forward. It happened over Christmas and had to wait a week of continuous bleeding til they opened in the new year. All was fine. Unexplained bleeding that vontinued to week 20. Its very upsetting for you. Youre a day closer to it today. Sending so much positivity to you and wishing you a very speedy weekend.x
I also had a huge gush of red blood and bled for a couple of hours then brown for about a week at 6 weeks, went for a scan and saw baby’s heartbeat and a SCH. She will be 6 months old next week 💖
I’m so sorry, I know how scary is it! When I was 5+6 I had a big bleed with cramps and excruciating pains. It was awful. Only lasted for maybe an hour or so. Turned out to be a bleed next to the baby. Hope you’re ok xx
Got the news we’ve been longing for. Strong heartbeat was seen and baby is fine!! 🥹 she can see some blood in my womb which she said is nothing to worry about. My body will either absorb it or I’ll have another bleed!
