Follicle progress update for EC #3

I went for my follicle progress scan today, have already done 7 days of STIMs. When I went after 3 days of STIMS I had 7 follicles responding but then when I went today I now 4. So it looks as though 3 have dropped off and stopped growing. I know these numbers are good and I’m not complaining but this is yet again a low response for me so it’s hard to not feel disheartened. I’m going again on Friday for another scan and blood test, to see if those 4 are ok and looking like they will have mature eggs but if they don’t then my consultant wants to abandon the cycle for this month. Which I am in agreement with, we will have spent the meds money but luckily we wouldn’t lose cost of the EC etc. I’m 38 so feel like I still have time on my side and fortunate for that, but my results have really dipped since my first EC last December, I know age and egg stock comes into play but I’m not sure even doing it another month would make a difference. Has anyone else been in this position before? I think it might be a case of having to just do some egg collections back to back with fewer numbers to build up a reserve to maybe freeze now? Thought changing drugs and combo would help but not sure it has x

Thank you, I hope we can continue too but am trying not to get my hopes up x
