Hi Anjalichaudhary! I don’t have much knowledge about IUGRs. But I think it means that the baby is small for his/her gestational age. There are are 2 types: the Symmetrical where in all the baby’s parts are small and the Asymmetrical wherein the baby’s head and brain are the expected size but the rest of the body are small. This is the most common of the IUGRs and is detected at late onset. Maybe you can ring your clinic for more enlightenment on the matter to ease your anxiety. Best of luck on your pregnancy. Xx
Hi Anjalichaudhary. Would you be able to move over to the Pregnancy after treatment Forum please? All I know, is that these babies tend to have small organs and limbs, but tend to catch up to normal size within a couple of years. Usually they are mentally fine. You need to speak to your obstetrician for a clear explaination. Diane
Hi, i crossed check with the doctor, they said that it is possibly iugr not confirmed as i was not well, may be that was the reason for this, now she will check the growth in next ultrasound.
