Femoston IVF

Im looking to understand my medication that I have been placed on, it’s Femostan 2/10. The clinic said it was to regulate a period. Has anyone been place on it for an IVF cycle?

I'm on exactly that medication but not for IVF - for me it's my HRT after an early menopause. I thought it was just an HRT medication.

Hi I had femostan on my first round. It was to regulate my period as mine where hit and miss. This way they could plan more when to take my next set of medication. Life2 is correct it is used for HRT also, but it you read the leaflet I think it says it is used for IVf.

Thanks Bailey_2019 always good to hear from others on similar treatment!. Can I ask, at what stage did you bleed on them?

Oh god seems like it was a life time ago. I think I took femostan for 21 days then had to wait for my period which might of been about 3days after stopping those tablets I then moved in to estradiol.

This was for a FET using DE. I know all protocols aren't the same. Our 2nd round of ivf was different protocol to the first.

it’s hard to remember everything! I’ve sent my clinic a message as I’m unsure what to do next, two tablets left on the strip.

We are DE, our first cycle failed, 2 MCs and one failed to implant. We are waiting on some test results and hope to have new donor found for possible FET in November.

It can also be used in IVF if there is any hormonal disorders . Ask your clinic/nurse to explain why you are taking this medicine - this might help put your mind at ease and reduce your stress levels Take care
