Hi ladies! Last Friday we got our first ever BFP after our first FET. Feeling extremely shocked and happy, and relieved to know that I can at least get pregnant as before this it honestly felt like it was a weird Truman show conspiracy that anyone gets pregnant at all (do you know what I mean??)
Anyway, last night I had sharp twinges in my uterus area most of the evening and a few drops of red spotting. It totally freaked us out. It doesn't seem to have continued this morning but I'm so anxious. Can anyone advise?
Also my clinic doesn't do betas or advise a second test so we are just waiting for our first scan on 25th. Not sure whether to test again, especially as our line was nice and strong so I am trying just to go with the flow but as you can tell I am not doing great at that!
UPDATE
Tuesday's spotting ended up just being two drops, but I woke up in the night for a wee and after I got back in bed had couple minutes of cramps, much stronger than I have had so far. Went to check and I've got some red/dark red bleeding, much more like a period. Is it all over? I'm not even panicking,I feel so resigned to it all having been too good to be true.

Hi pickle. Keep up with any prescribed medication and Folic Acid. Drink plenty of water as your bladder is in the same area and you could be brewing an infection. Keep an eye on urine output, the smell and we want a light colour. Your cervix could be irritated from pessary use, if you are using them. Try swapping to back passage for a few days to give the front a rest. Hope all continues as it should. Diane
Thanks for this Diane. I'm using lutigest so has to be vaginal but I tried without applicator for a bit.
I'm bleeding again, more heavily and more red (though maybe a bit more dark red than bright red). I also had a stronger cramp - so far it had been hard to spot whether I was definitely cramping, but this one was pretty clear.
I'll keep taking my meds of course, but our scan isn't til 25th and it seems such a long time to be continuing them possibly for nothing...
Sorry you’re going through this. Lutigest was a nightmare for me so I’ve been on Cyclogest since (using the back passage) which was a hundred times better. I’d suggest switching to this if your doctor agrees. Also I’d personably get an hcg blood test through the GP or privately to understand what’s going on. All the best xx
Hi there, do you have an early pregnancy unit? I would give them a call as you may have a haematoma ( small area of bruising) causing this bleeding. I had this with an unsuccessful but also my current ongoing pregnancy. It’s very scary but not always bad news.x Will keep everything crossed for you.x
