Is there anything to help after the trigger?

Hi there,

So I'm doing the trigger shot for my last collection in a little over an hour. I know there is a lot out there about what you can eat to help during stims, and what to eat for your lining and a transfer, but is there anything I should do or eat or whatever after the trigger to help the eggs mature? Is there literature on this, or internet superstition like the pineapple thing? Would be curious to hear your thoughts, thanks. This will be my fourth collection, but since it's my last, I'm just wondering what I can do to maximize results if possible.

Hi Lux Fleur I have heard that pineapple post transfer is good. Also take it easy during the two weeks. I took some time off. There may be some previous threads on the forum about the pineapple. Wishing you the very best.

Hi, I'm not doing a transfer, I am doing the trigger shot before egg collection. This will be freeze all and I'll wait a few months before transfer to get my health in good shape. Thanks though!

Hi Lux

I don't think I can be of much help regarding nutrition after the trigger but I guess maybe a continuation of stim related diet. Things like full fat milk and protein powder smoothies to help those follicles mature. Anything with protein would be my advice for what it's worth. And just some nice colourful fruit and veg.

Good luck xx

Hello!

Reduce or eliminate sugar (including alcohol, honey, etc.), and eat carbs but more controlled. Also try to Reduce fat consumption. This is my own experience. If I eat sugar, my follicles don't grow/maturate. Also if I eat too much fat. The same with sleeping: if i sleep less than 7 hours, things don't work with my follicles. Also try to not stress as this rises cortisol and then insuline and this affects the follicles (this is what my doctor told me, but well I have insuline resistance). And take D vitamin, there is literature that says that if it is low, the follicles don't grow fast or they don't maturate.
