Any experience of Zomacton (growth hormone)?

Hello,

Does anyone have experience of using Zomacton (growth hormone)? I have been offered it as an option with my 3rd cycle. Dr says it's a personal choice and won't recommend either way.

Hi, Zomacton gave me extreme insomnia. The number of eggs collected and fertilised were lower in the round when I used Zomacton. But everyone may respond differently. Good luck x

Hi Rhubarb5, we took zomacton for the round that gave us the best egg collection and embryos to date. One of them is now my 19 month old little boy. We were lucky we were allowed it as ours was an NHS round and the NHS didn't allow add ons like this but we had already purchased it so took it anyway. X

Hi, just read your post and wanted to know if you went ahead with zomacton and what your experience was like? I was just prescribed this and I am not sure about it tbh. Thanks x

Hello,We decided not to use it for this cycle. We had already made some changes to the protocol and are hoping those make enough of a difference. If it's not successful, we will probably try Zomacton with our next one if we do another one (I'm not sure I can put myself through it again). Our Dr has recommended we speak to the pharmacist at our clinic to get more information on it. Best of luck with your cycle. xx
