I have just received bad news. On Wednesday at 15pt my levels were 2016, today at 17pt is only 3309. This means it’s another miscarriage doesn’t it? It would be my third.
I’m running back into London to have intralipids as I guess my immunity test are not looking good. They said it would support it. Shall I still have hope? Don’t know how to break the news to my husband, I just don’t have the strength this time.

Hi FrancyItaly. Although the number hasn't doubled, it is still quite high, so I'm hoping it will catch up again. Keeping everything crossed for you. Diane
Hi there. On day 15 mine were 373, much much lower. From the intense amount of reading I did, the doubling generally needs to happen within 72 hours (yours are within that timeframe). I’ll be crossing my fingers for you xx
Oh love you must be so stressed. I don’t know enough about levels to give advice so just sending you hugs and all the wishes your HCG catches up like Diane said. Deep breaths xx
I don’t have any advice as I never had my levels checked with any successful pregnancy. I had my levels checked as it was PUL - until they saw my level halved and confirmed a miscarriage. This sounds so very stressful I sometimes wonder if all this monitoring adds further stress. Every pregnancy is different I’m sure it’s not an exact science. Looking online it looks like they should double with 48-72 hours so yours although not doubled yet could well be doubled by tomorrow. The only way to know for certain is the scan. I’m sorry you are going through this and I wish you a happy result. Keeping everything crossed for you Xx
Hope it's all okay, Francesca! How stressful. My clinic doesn't even check HCG, so don't know the specifics, but I know it's more of a general guideline - the doubling every 2-3 days. And it hasn't been 3 days between your readings! And then I believe it doubles every 4 days at some point. So all could still be good, although completely understand your fears and concerns. Must be stressful not having that reassurance from your HCG numbers. Lots of love. x
Definitely don’t lose hope, that number is a really high hcg early on. It’s great that you’re getting an intralipid boost as well. You’ve been through so much, you’re already very strong and resilient so you can handle this lovely! You and your husband need to support each other, it will be a nerve wracking few days but we’re all rooting for you! Sending love xx
The ladies above are correct, your HCG just needs to keep rising, doubling between 48-72 hours so you’re within that time frame. The number also appears to slow down after a certain point. Your numbers are high and I’d say healthy so I’m keeping everything crossed for you and hope the intrapilids help in continuing to support your pregnancy 💖
I have been told that as long as the number increases every 48-72h there is hope. Plus, they should slow down a bit when above 1 or 2000 (I don't remember now). My clinic doesn't even test you again if the first reading is above 200 or 300 (at 14dp5dt) because they consider it promising enough to wait for the first scan!
Just wanted to say I’m sorry you’re so worried and as others have said, I’ve always been told it should double every 48-72 hours and based on the numbers you’ve given, yours is doubling in 67 hours which is perfectly normal. Try not to give up hope just yet xxxx
Ooh my love, so sorry to hear your worries, these weeks are soo stressful and a mind f*** aren’t they. But I do agree with others, they are high numbers, and they have gone up, it is not that they only went up with a 100 or something but still a good amount and definitely not going down. My clinic also doesn’t do any HCG at all, once you have the HPT positive it is waiting for the scan. I think possibly because HCG numbers vary a lot and not exact science. Sadly all you can do is wait but for now I would say it isn’t over yet and perhaps try to keep your mind busy with other things? (Impossible, I know, I would be just a wreck as well) but I think it is too early to say it will be a miscarriage and I will keep my fingers crossed for you hun!
You must be so stressed but don’t count yourself out just yet. Your numbers are going up and doubling is normally 48-72 hours so you are still good. Crossing my fingers for you xx
Hi Francy, the HCG levels don't double anymore every 2 days after they reach 1000, so yes, definitely there's still hope! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you 🤞🍀
