Hi all. I had my FET on 19.01 and I have just tested positive for covid. 😬
It was bound to happen as I work in a primary school and we are really struggling with the number of cases at the moment.
I feel fine, a bit tired but I put it down to progesterone. No symptoms apart from occasional sneeze.
I guess I'm looking for some reassurance that everything will be fine? Can covid impact my (possible) pregnancy at such an early phase? Or shall the give up hope?
Test day in February 1st...

Sorry to hear you got COVID in your 2WW! I don’t think there will be any good evidence about whether it would harm your chances but when I came down with a really heavy cold the night after my ET I started scouring the internet and found loads of people on various forums had gone on to be pregnant in that cycle when they got sick during 2WW. It did not hurt my round as this was my successful one! I wondered if all the RnR and sofa time actually helped. Just rest up as much as you can, keep your temp down with paracetamol, and keep well hydrated. Hope you’re not feeling too rough and best of luck xx
Hi, me..... I had a transfer on Monday 24 tested positive on Wed 26! I was triple vaxed I had my 3rd shot 2 weeks before hand but still felt like a had a pretty bad cold achy and a low fever that paracetamol was able to fix for a day then more of a headcold. I also did alot of internet searching and saw people had had colds etc so it will be what it will be I think 🤔
Glad to hear that you didn't have too hard a time with it! All the best for Feb 1💕
I am currently 7 days into my 2ww & tested positive for covid. I am definitely panicking that having covid is going to affect my chances of getting a positive pregnancy test. I feel pretty crap, achey, sore throat & tight chest. Aghhhhhh!!!!!!
I can’t believe there’s not more information on this specifically on the internet. I’ve emailed my clinic for some reassurance but as it’s the weekend I’ve had no reply. Hopefully they will call me tomorrow & put my mind at ease.
Good luck to you too!
I’d be interested to know how your test goes on the 1st if you don’t mind sharing. Xx
Hi, I am just getting over it too. 2WW blood test in a few days. Just wondering what your clinic said ... mine said there is not enough research at the moment to prove either way 🤷♀️
I don't contact the clinic. I didn't see a point to be honest. There is nothing they can do at that stage and when I asked them ages ago about vaccination they referred me to nhs page.
I just wanted to post a reply here to anyone in the future who may get covid during their 2ww & Worry it will ruin their chances. I got my BFP last week, so covid didn’t harm our embryo.
Awww sorry to hear this. Rest up! I tested positive for covid when I was really early pregant with twins. Your body will protect your embryos.Currently 35 weeks and everything is good x
