Sadly it was confirmed at our scan yesterday that out twin was no longer there and all that was left was an empty sac. We have now gone from a twin pregnancy to a singleton pregnancy.
We still feel incredibly lucky and happy as the bigger twin was alive and kicking up a storm and measured exactly as he should. I was 10 weeks yesterday and he measured 10+1.
It was a bitter sweet experience but we are joyful that everything seems perfect with our little bean. So, I have gifted myself one more day of happiness before the worrying commences again until the next milestone 😅
Thank you to everyone for support over the last few weeks. I’d be on the floor or under the table with anxiety if it was not for the support of people on this forum. Xx

Hi there,I’m really sorry to hear about your vanishing twin. This happened to us around this time 12 years ago after a long hard journey of fertility issues. I am pleased to be able to tell you our ‘remaining twin’ started high school in September and has an 8 year old brother to boot!
Keep the faith and believe this can work out for you. It’s so hard not to worry, but worrying won’t change anything so try to cut yourself some slack and enjoy your pregnancy!
Thank you Weelassy, for posting and sharing. I am sorry that you went through the same thing, but it is lovely to hear how well it worked out. We are happy about this precious opportunity…. And extremely grateful that our stronger twin survived thus far. Hopefully it will all go well from now on . 12 week scan is in 2 weeks so not too long to wait for some reassurance. Xx
I am sorry Bozo! I was really cheering for the little one to catch up! But maybe he just needed to be there to help the other twin to be stronger. I wish you very uneventful pregnancy from this day on!
Thank you Shireen, we were quite excited about seeing them both but it was not to be. Still.. we are so grateful and happy that this twin is healthy. Seeing him on the scan put starts in our eyes ❤️
