**Sensitive post** Miscarriage of a twin

Hi all, at 5+3 weeks pregnant on Sunday, I started bleeding heavily and passed what I thought was the pregnancy sac. I was absolutely devastated. But at a scan with my specialist yesterday, my husband and I were amazed to see a sac with yolk sac, measuring well, on the screen. I had my HCG measured a few days beforehand and it was 17,000, which I was told was unusually high for this stage of pregnancy, so I was told I’d most likely been carrying twins and lost one of them. There was still some blood in the womb and I’ve been told to rest until my next scan. I’m still bleeding a little and just so worried the surviving one will go too 😔 Does anyone have experience of this? I’d love to hear from those who had a good outcome.

I am so sorry you have had to go through this. I have no experience of this, but I'm sending you massive virtual hugs. It's sounds like you have a really strong fighter on your hands. I can't imagine what it felt like seeing that scan after such a fright. Rest up and much love xx

I don't have experience personally, but a friend of mine fell pregnant with twins and sadly lost one, but her other little miracle was made of strong stuff and is now 3! Keeping everything crossed for you 😘 xx

I had a twin pregnancy, and lost one baby at 9/10 weeks (although it was reabsorbed, not expelled in a miscarriage), but the other one was fine and is now my 3.5 year old
